Supporting Students’ Mental Wellbeing: Our Latest Effort
We have launched psychosocial support for Asha School students, beginning with our first workshop this month. Every two weeks, a two-hour session will be held for children in grades 3, 4, and 5.
Despite their resilience, these children face deep trauma linked to extreme poverty, including neglect, child labor, domestic violence, and loss of parents. Many struggle to express their emotions, focusing instead on daily survival.
The workshops are conducted by Reuben Hughes, a Master’s student in psychology, who has developed the curriculum and engages experts from his university to support the sessions.
