Relief Support Reaches Flood-Affected Families in Nuwakot, Rasuwa and Dhading

Nepal is facing a devastating humanitarian crisis following catastrophic floods and debris flows that struck the country on August 26, 2026.

According to the latest figures reported by Nepalese authorities, 1,355 people have lost their lives and 4,996 people remain missing. The destruction has also left thousands of families without homes. Authorities estimate that at least 7,500 homes have been completely destroyed, with around 20,000 homes requiring reconstruction.

Families urgently need safe shelter, food, clean water, medical assistance, and support to rebuild their homes and livelihoods.

In response to this devastating crisis, our team is continuing to support families affected by the floods in Nuwakot and surrounding communities.

Relief supplies are being prepared and distributed, including food, warm blankets and clothing, baby care items, hygiene supplies, and clean-water filters. Our volunteers are also working at temporary holding centers, helping families and supporting the centers wherever needed.

We are working in partnership with municipal and local administrative authorities, in accordance with disaster response guidelines, to coordinate our efforts and help ensure that assistance reaches affected families safely and where it is most needed.
